Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

NaamVanniyar.com ('we', 'us', 'our'), an independent community welfare and educational platform, is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you create a community profile or use our services, why we collect it, how it is stored, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

When you register for membership, we collect personal details you provide: full name, profile photo, gender, date of birth, blood group, contact details (mobile, WhatsApp, email), address (including district, state and pincode), occupation, company name, skills and emergency contact information.

We also collect payment information when you make a voluntary contribution as a community supporter. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Razorpay); we do not store your card or banking credentials.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to create and manage your community profile, generate your digital profile card, verify your profile status, communicate community updates, and provide welfare and member services.

We may use anonymized, aggregated statistics (such as total members or districts covered) for reporting and outreach.

3. Platform Profile ID & Public Verification

Each member is issued a unique Platform Profile ID. The QR code on your profile card links to a public verification page that displays only your name, Platform Profile ID, status and photo to confirm authenticity. No other personal details are exposed publicly.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in our database, and uploaded files (such as profile photos and ID cards) are stored using encrypted cloud storage (AWS S3). We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform (such as payment and cloud storage providers) and where required by law.

We do not sell user data and we do not share user data with any political party or external organisation for political campaigning.

6. Your Rights

You may access, update or request deletion of your personal information at any time through your member dashboard or by contacting us. Deleting your account will remove your membership and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Contact Us

For any privacy-related questions or requests, please contact us at [email protected].
